What is the Play About?Four actors. "Jigsaw" is a short play: about 15 minutes long. It has been described as "a perfect jewel". Four siblings sit at a dining table working at a jigsaw. There is a gradual awareness by the audience that their father is dying in the room next door. Their mother calls them in. They leave the stage. They return. "I could watch this play only the once. It was so sad. I thought of my own childen. It was so real. At first, I couldn't work out what was happening, and then I thought - My God! The father's dying! It was the audience that had to do the jigsaw and put the pieces together. When I realized I burst into tears." - Parent! |
