Dear Mum & Dad,

Please thank France for her letter. I did get the fright of my life, but I didn’t drop dead. I will be pleased to be able to do the reading.

Actually, the farm manager’s daughter is getting married at Meeanee in a week’s time & some of us are to sing, & I’m to play the organ. So I’ll be having a good look to see what happens.

Yesterday Bishop Sneddon opened a new wing at St. John’s. I didn’t go. It is a new classroom block & library.

The weather has been very fine & warm recently, & a lot of trees are starting to blossom.

At the moment we are having “Eucharistic Devotions”. This is just a new name for 40 Hours. For since we don’t keep a strict 40 Hours, we called it Eucharistic Devotions. It is in preparation for the Assumption which is on Tuesday.

This is the last page of the pad, & I’ve run out of news. At the moment I’m writing a “Vinculum”. I’m a bit slow this time, not having put one out since May.

Well, it’s time to go to class – so will post this on the way.

Love from
Bruce
