Dear Mum & Dad,

I’m glad to hear you enjoyed your holiday at Rotorua. I got a letter from Bear yesterday, and he seems to be enjoying his work. However, I suppose you heard all about it from Margaret & Bert.

We have only two exams left before making a retreat in two weeks time. On Friday we had a Conge & I am still half asleep after it. The highest temperature on Friday was 81 ½ °, so it was good weather in which to have a picnic.

Fr. Haase, who sat English last year, said that the results could start coming out any time after the end of next week. They will be in the paper so I will be looking.

This morning we had a Broadcast Mass on the National Station. I would have told you to listen in, but I didn’t realize that it was on the National Programme until a few minutes before Mass began. It would have been good because you could have heard the Mass sung in English. (We sing Mass every Sunday in English).

What is Tony and Mehegan’s address? I know it is Ngarara Rd. but what is the number? I am not thinking of writing; it is just for the sake of the records!

Well, I think that that is all the news.

Love from
Bruce
