770. Victoria's clone
© Bruce Goodman 19 November 2015

At last! Deep in the recesses of the British Museum, proof has emerged of what has long been suspected: Queen Victoria was cloned. A photograph was found twixt the pages of an early copy of a book once on the Index Librorum Prohibitorum. Clearly the photograph had been used as a book mark. On the back, in Queen Victoria’s own hand, Spare the rodham and spoil the country.

It’s now known that Victoria’s clone is to be regarded as the real Victoria. Historians are considering changing the name of the Victorian Era to something after the clone; something more modern; perhaps something to do with modern communications, such as email. Perhaps the Meme Era. In fact, in honour of herself, the clone is going to recommend the Me Me Me Me Me Era.
