Sidney was very much looking forward to his life-changing operation. He had felt ill for months. He had been on the waiting list for weeks. Now at last he was to have a thyroidectomy.
He didn’t much like the thought of being hospitalized and of “going under the knife”. But it was something he had to go through to achieve better health.
Sidney’s wife, Judith, drove him to the hospital. He had his little bag packed and ready.
Unfortunately they had a car crash on the way and Sidney was killed. Getting a thyroidectomy can be dangerous.
