402. A good day

To say that Karen was accident prone would be an understatement. But today she was having a good day.

A large spider ran across her desk. She brushed her hand to sweep it away and knocked her coffee all over her keyboard. The keyboard wouldn’t work. She unplugged it from the computer. She didn’t have a spare keyboard, but by shaking the one she had, she managed to dry it a bit.

Then she couldn’t get the computer to go. It wouldn’t even turn on. She had to finish her assignment.

This was all before breakfast. She began her assignment using long hand. It took a long time, and she was late and missed her usual bus.

“Thank goodness,” thought Karen, “at least I’m having a good day.”
