322. Akeem was cold
© Bruce Goodman 28 August 2014

Akeem was frozen. It was freezing. His feet were frozen. He was well wrapped up, but it was so cold. Even inside the house he was cold. He was cold all the time. There was little he could do to warm up.

He was expected to go outside and do all these winter things. As if he wasn’t cold enough already! And then going to school each day… He sat in a cold classroom, freezing to death.

Perhaps the Student Exchange Scheme between his country and the Inuit of Greenland wasn’t such a good idea. He couldn’t wait to get home to his nomadic tribe in the Sahara.
