Medical technology had reached a point to be wondered at. At birth, everyone on earth was implanted with a chip. This chip sent information to a massive computer at the Central Medical Bureau. It monitored every individual’s health and readjusted the balance. Heart attacks, strokes, cancer, kidney failure, the common cold… all were things of the past. “How very convenient,” thought the alien, as its long green finger poked through the open window of the Central Medical Bureau. It was about to press a button. |
