There’s this girl in my French class. Her name’s Petra. There’s not many in the French class with me. French seems to have gone out the window at school. Everyone seems to take Spanish and Japanese. Some people are good at languages. I’m quite good at French but haven’t tried any other language. Mike Gilligan in the class takes every language under the sun. And Petra’s good at it too. So I’d be about third best in the class. Anyway… We had to go and see a French movie that was showing in town for a week. It was call “Soudain l’eau”. I thought I would ask Petra if she wanted to go see it with me. I was going to ask her on Monday if she wanted to go on Thursday but on Monday I got cold feet and thought I’d ask her on Tuesday. So I did ask her on Tuesday if she wanted to go see the movie on Friday. “Do you want to come and see the movie with me on Friday?” I asked her. I was sweating blood.
