I know it’s April Fool’s Day, but some things can’t wait. Since none of my readers know me in the real I can safely tell everyone the wonderful news and you won’t bother me! I won the lottery! Well, I didn’t actually get first prize but it was pretty exciting nonetheless. Yah! Yah! Yah! As yet I’m not sure what I’m going to do with it. I think it doesn’t mean to go spend it on unnecessary things and all at once. The greatest thing really is the security it would provide. I had no clue when I die how the funeral expenses were going to get paid. And my old ute (pick-up) I am very fond of, but it needs doing up. I’m too old to travel and have developed into a stay-at-home person so the money’s safe in that department. I want a new gas oven because my old electric one is… well… electric and I like the instantaneous-ness of gas. Also need some new pots and pans. So all in all a very exciting day. I just wish it wasn’t April Fool’s Day so that my excitement could be more generously believed and shared. (I don’t mean share the money, I mean share the excitement!) I haven’t won anything in the lottery for ages, so to win eighteen dollars is a thrilling thing. Back to Index Next Story Previous Story |
