After leaving school he worked hard to build up his collection of lilies. For five years he laboured every day and even had two lilies that he had developed named after him.. But there was still no wife on the horizon.
Then Daphne arrived in his life. Never had the bees buzzed so gloriously. Never had honey tasted so sweet. Never had the lilies bloomed so wondrously.
Unfortunately Daphne was allergic to lily pollen.
