Dear Mum & Dad,

This will have to be a reasonably short note because I don’t seem to be at all organized so far this year. The work just seems to be building up & up & I don’t seem to be getting anything done.

We go into a week’s retreat next Sunday evening so I hope to get organized by then.

I hope to get a “Vinculum” out by the Retreat. I told know whether I told you but I’m “Editor” of the “Vinculum”, which is a newsletter of several typed pages sent to the N.Z. missionaries in the Pacific – every month.

It’s been raining these last few days, but today was hot again.

A new rule has come in – we can now wear shorts when working outside (I have enough pairs!)

The other night in “Club”, I was going to give this fancy speech on music, & it would be illustrated with music on the tape-recorder. I practised & practised it. When I got up to speak, the tape-recorder wouldn’t go!! So I played the piano. It turned out alright.

Well, I think I’ll sign off now.

Love from
Bruce

P.S. Congratulations Leo on passing your electrical exam!
