Three square meals a day!

Dear Mum & Dad,

Please excuse the writing, but I’m sitting up in bed! I’m not sick or anything; but I suddenly realized (just as I was about to get into bed) that I hadn’t written.

We have had rain for the last 12 days – but only moderate rain. Last night we had a fairly strong gale, & the wind is still blowing now. As I mentioned to Helen & Rick when they called in – I haven’t seen one white frost on the ground so far this winter. It has been very dry & mild. These last few days have been the most wintery all year, & it is still fairly warm.

Please wish Helen a “Happy Birthday” from me for today!

This week has been rather newsless. I don’t know how I would have filled in a page if the weather had been fine.

In Book-Binding at the moment we are busy binding the National Geographics (about the last 30 years) into 6 monthly volumes.

Well, I can’t think of anything else to say.

Just thought of something – Michael Bazalo (the one the lady knows, that you know at work Dad) left this week. There are now 13 Aspirants.

35 boys from St. Pat’s Town are staying out at our Waimarama Camp this week – all they’ve had so far is rain & a gale.

Anyway - love from
Bruce
