Mt. St. Marys, Greenmeadows. Sun. April 28th, ’68. Dear Mum & Dad, There is not much news this week. It has been raining all week. I got my Assignments back with two C+s. That is about 60%. Her remarks were quite good too – “This is sound work”, “Perceptive ideas”, so I am quite pleased. When sending a telegram to Tony’s Wedding (I thought I would send a telegram even if I wrote it out and posted it) do I send it to the Bride’s or to the Bridegroom’s place? Who do I address it to? Also, what will be Tony’s private address at Waikanae or will he only have P.O. Box 48? The Superior General arrives on Wednesday. Fr. Bell (one of the 5 “Vice-Superiors” in Rome) is here at the moment. He, & another “Vice Superior”, are New Zealanders. Today is St. Peter Chanel’s feast day, but we don’t celebrate it until tomorrow because today is Sunday. No one is quite sure how we are going to celebrate it – some think with normal classes, others with the day off, but it remains for the Rector to voice his opinion. We have just finished a Novena for Vocations. Tagg Rugby starts this week. Well, that is all the news. Love from Bruce P.S. The Rector has just voiced his opinion and tomorrow is free! Bruce |
