543. Get her poor dog a bone
© Bruce Goodman 6 April 2015

Mamie-Rose’s husband, Duane, had passed away. Mamie-Rose had always wanted a pet dog. Upon her husband’s death one of the first things she did was to get such a pet; from the dog pound. Mamie-Rose thought it was adorable. It was a big, drooling, fully-grown Rottweiler.

Mamie-Rose hadn’t realised how much such a dog would eat, and how quickly it would demolish all the meat she had stored in the freezer. There were only a few bones and scraps left. Once all that was devoured she would hand the dog back to the pound as being unsuitable for a sweet widow such as herself.

No more Duane.
