431. Cryonics

It was the year 3221, and Planet Earth had so repeatedly cloned the human population that genetic variation was a thing of the past. Thank goodness, back in 2002, Ted Williams had his body frozen in preparation for the time when cryonics could thaw him out and give him everlasting life. The time for defrosting was ripe. The time was now!

Cryonic scientists thawed out Ted. And there he was! Alive! Complete! Happy! Amazed at the changes in the last 1219 years.

“Let’s play ball,” said Ted.

“Nah!” said the head scientist, “not up to standard.” He pulled out a dagger and chopped off Ted’s head.

“Next!”
