422. Bread pudding
© Bruce Goodman 6 December 2014

John liked bread pudding. He was sent to the Vietnam war. His wife, Maureen, was at home with the three kids. She missed him terribly. She was afraid of the dark.

Every day, every minute, Maureen thought of John. It was worrying. It was stressful. And the kids needed their father.

Then he came home!

Maureen cooked a huge bread pudding to celebrate.

John didn’t like bread pudding any more. He had changed.

Within a couple of months, life for Maureen and the kids was worse than when he was at war.
