Jamie was straining his eyes. It was hard to see the computer screen with the sun streaming in the window. Not that it mattered. He was having a fruitless afternoon, and it was only a computer game after all. He drew the curtains. That was better. The game grew interesting. He became absorbed. A car pulled up outside. Jamie heard nothing. There was a knock on the door. Jamie heard nothing. The car drove away. Jamie heard nothing. It was a shame, because he’d missed the chance of a life time. |
