There could be no doubt that Irwin had fallen for Irene. Why else would he drive an hour and a half each day after work to see her, and then drive a second hour and a half to get home and be ready for work the next morning? Well the weekend was coming up, thank goodness, and this time it was Irene who was making the drive. Irwin had planned the day. They both liked walking (usually hand in hand) so he thought let’s go to the forest and look for wild mushrooms. Irene was an expert at mushrooms and Irwin was keen to learn. Not much mushrooming went on during the walk but they did get a few. Irwin had planned a lovely meal and Irene was keen to help. They would add their gathered mushrooms to the menu!
