Marlene was a cheese snob. She turned her nose up at the ordinary supermarket cheeses and would buy cheese only from the experts. When she bought cheese she always automatically spoke with a plum in her mouth. She was to visit an elderly aunt. Agatha was her late father’s sister. To be honest, Aunt Agatha was a pain in the proverbial. She enjoyed cutting people down to size – which was something that Marlene dreaded. Still, an aunt is an aunt and duty must be done. Marlene thought she would take Aunt Agatha some cheese. She chose a piece of Caciocavallo Podolico. Goodness! Aunt Agatha should be please with that; it cost forty-two dollars. The visitation began. “This, Aunt Agatha, is Caciocavallo Podolico. It is the noblest of cheeses. The aroma of milk and straw is intense while the texture is slightly grainy and sharp at times.” “Oh! Thank you, dear!” said Aunt Agatha. “It is exactly what I needed.
