Today, at the weekly afternoon tea for those recovering from a stroke, Norma was asked what was the strangest thing that has ever happened to you. Well, what a saga!
It had been an ordinary day and Norma had to go to the bank to ask about what seemed to be a strange expense on her bank statement. As she waited in line three men appeared in masks wielding guns. They shouted “Hit the floor!” Naturally Norma obeyed as did everyone else in the bank. The robbery lasted only a few minutes and the thieves took off. Slowly people rose, brushing their clothes down, and looking frightened and bewildered. They had to wait for the police before they could leave.
The nice man next to Norma was calm and consoling. “We met on the floor,” said Norma. He and Norma have now been married for thirty-six years.
