3271. Too many murders going on

I’m sick to death reading in the paper about the countless murders that seem to be going on in our district. Today there’s a report of the murder over in the suburb of Forest Knoll. Yesterday it was about the murder in Larksville. There seems to be about one a day. Surely by reporting them they are encouraging the murderers, not to mention that they might be giving some unbalanced people an idea.

And then it doesn’t contribute to the peace of the community. Who wants to have to worry about having a killer in the neighbourhood? Three days ago there was a detailed report of a supposed murder in South Billabong. A woman lived alone and was stabbed ruthlessly while tending her broccoli in her vegetable garden. Clearly the murderer doesn’t like broccoli! Ha! Ha! Ha! Sorry – I shouldn’t joke about it. Police have no idea of a motive or who the stabber might be. It just goes to show how unhealthy broccoli can be! Ha! Ha! Ha!

Then there was the murder last week in Blackbird Downs. The old man was found strangled in his garden shed, again while having harvested some broccoli. There seems to be a common pattern in these murders. The victims all seem to be old people, and most seem to have some connection with gardening.

I wish they would stop reporting them in the paper every day. Mind you, I can hardly be sad at the propagators of broccoli getting murdered. I hate broccoli with a vengeance! Ha! Ha! Ha!
