Young Murray had a terrible temper. He would get angry over everything and would scream, stamp, and shout. His parents didn’t know what to do about it. Then his father had an idea… He would make a contract with Murray. Every time he, the father, got angry he would give his son a dollar; and every time Murray got angry he would give his father a dollar. Murray’s father wasn’t afraid – he was as placid as can be. Murray grew into the biggest, two-timing, spoilt brat this side of the Mississippi. He never got angry but he got quite rich. He certainly knew how to make his father mad.
