Early one Thursday morning Neville looked up at the sky and watched the moon rise. It was a beautiful crescent shape and a brilliant orange. There had been a nuclear holocaust. Neville was the last human being in history to see the moon rise. Everyone else was dead. There was no one left in the world he could tell about the spectacular moon rise. Then he himself died.
