When I ran over the old lady I suppose I should’ve stopped. I don’t know what she was doing walking on the road anyway. She looked about seventy, but I saw her only from the back. Just as I passed, her walking stick somehow got stuck in the front bumper and that seemed to pull her under and the car ran over her. It all happened so quick. Hopefully no one saw it. I suppose she’s someone’s grandmother. Just to take my mind off it I stopped on the outskirts of town and bought myself a Red Bull energy drink and a cream bun. Fortunately my car doesn’t seem to have any damage. When I got home a message came up on my phone: Your grandmother died. She was hit by a car. Back to Index Next Story Previous Story |
