“This is stupid,” muttered Thurston. “It doesn’t say much if I can’t even do it for a day. It’s the pits. And it’s such a simple thing. It wasn’t demanding. All I had to do was get out of bed each morning and do it. It would only take five minutes. But oh no! I’m an incompetent specimen of humanity.”
And that’s the way it stayed. He regretted it each evening as he tried to snuggle down into his unmade, crumpled bed.
