Sandra complained to the school about the way other children were treating her daughter, Mercia. She was getting bullied. She was such a sweet thing and the other children in the elementary class were mean.

Sandra complained to the high school about the way other students were treating her daughter, Mercia. She was getting bullied. She was such a sweet thing and the other students in the high school were mean.

Mercia complained to the college administration that she was being bullied for all sorts of reasons: her skin colour, her religion, her personality, her… The other students on campus were plain mean.

Mercia complained to her employers that the atmosphere in the office was overwhelmingly nasty. “You’ve no idea about the way I’m being treated by your office staff. Everyone is plain nasty.”

Mercia’s husband of three weeks filed for divorce. “Bloody hell!” he said.
