Callum hated spiders. One day he went into his bathroom and there was a little spider on the window ledge next to his toothbrush. His first thought was to squash it.
“I really have to get over this silly phobia,” thought Callum. “I shall let it live. It’s harmless enough and really rather pretty.”
That was the spider, later in the day, that bit Callum’s nine year old kid, and the kid died.
