When Lillian first saw Hinton’s body floating in the goldfish pond she immediately presumed there had been some foul deed. Hinton had been perfectly healthy when she last saw him – just yesterday – and there he was now floating in her garden’s goldfish pond. She had some trouble getting the body out. If it was the result of a foul deed, who would have done this and why? There were no marks on Hinton’s body that she could see. There would be a dozen or so suspects that could have done it, but what was the motive? Perhaps then death came about by natural causes. Was it a virus or a sudden heart attack?
