3033. Sisterly disagreement

Meshimakobu hadn’t heard anything so stupid in all her life: Sanghwang denied the existence of fairies. Meshimakobu and Sanghwang were sisters. Their mother had named them after some East Asian mushrooms. How stupid was that? In the first place nobody could pronounce their names properly. As a pair they were jointly referred to as the Black Hoof Mushrooms.

Anyway one day Meshimakobu and Sanghwang were discussing recipes for bread pudding and suddenly Sanghwang said that she didn’t believe in fairies. There was no reason to say it; it just popped up out of the blue. Naturally it developed into an argument.

“I’ve never heard of any denial so stupid in my whole life,” declared Meshimakobu.

“Use your brain,” said Sanghwang. “Everyone knows that fairies are just a fairy story.”

Meshimakobu was furious. She was upset. She stood up, put her hands on her hips, and bawled: “You’re just saying that because we’re hobgoblins.”
