Even before she had opened her gifts on Christmas day, Vivien knew every one of them would be put up for sale on line. In fact, once the gifts were opened she was more convinced than ever. By 11 pm on Christmas Day, all items were up for resale, including a gift voucher for an unspecified amount at a knick-knack shop. Vivien knew it wouldn’t be worth much and put it up for trade as “A Surprise Gift Voucher - $10.00” By morning everything had sold, and came to less than $100. It shows what misers her so-called friends were. Vivien collected dolls, and had her eyes on a Swahili doll worth over two hundred dollars. It was the least she could have got for Christmas. Some referred to the day after Christmas as “Boxing Day”. Vivien could understand why; she was ready to punch her selfish friends. Meanwhile her selfish friends waited in anticipation for a phone call. They had got together and purchased a gift voucher worth the price of the Swahili doll.
