Elephants' eggs are rare They don't lay them everywhere To find such a treasure Is really a pleasure They've never been seen over here. There's dog eggs, cat eggs, mice eggs, hen eggs, Duck eggs, snail eggs, giraffe eggs, monkey eggs, Possum eggs, alligator eggs, rhinoceros eggs, hippopotamus eggs. Never an elephant's egg! We're sitting on the egg to keep it warm; We're taking turns about till it is born. You might think we're mad but keep your hat on - There's nothing more an egg likes than being sat on. |
